One Room Challenge Final Results

Happy Weekend!

The last 6 weeks have been busy making over my master bedroom for the One Room Challenge, coordinated by Linda at Calling It Home.  This was my first time doing the challenge and I’m definitely going to do it again!

The Striped House ORC Final 7

Here’s what I did over the last couple weeks:

  • painted my walls and trim
  • covered my closet doors in fabric
  • put up new drapes on my canopy
  • painted my curtains
  • made over a side table
  • changed out the pillows on my bed
  • swapped out the flowers for artwork behind the bed

I still don’t feel like the room is 100% yet.  I couldn’t decide on a new light, and I want to get some new art work for the walls.  And I’m thinking of moving the curtains into my guest room?  I did decide to do this at the very end of the first week, so I didn’t give myself the planning time I would have liked.  So maybe there will be a After The Final Rose type of post when I feel like I’ve got everything the way I want it 😉  Thank you Linda for coordinating these challenges, I’m looking forward to next spring’s challenge!

I love the dark walls. I looked at my bedroom and wondered how it would look with that same wall color..= ). That’s how much I love it. The greek key table is just gorgeous! You did an excellent job…calm and serene looking.
