click here Happy Holidays everyone! Thanks for stopping by to see my halls all decked out for Christmas. My color palette is pretty much the same as my standard home color scheme – black, white, metallics, and the occasional pop of color (which is always red for the holidays). I am the first one to admit that I am commitment phobic when it comes to color in my home. I’m all about layering and texture 🙂
I think I’ve mentioned this on Instagram, but I have a cat named Falala. And no, I didn’t name her with Christmas in mind, nor did I get her on Christmas. Falala is just a fun end result of nicknames evolving into something that suites her all too well. I made the garland for $3 from twine and one sheet of gold glitter scrapbook paper from Michaels. I printed a F-A-L on Word (4″ Arial Bold) and traced them backwards on the paper. Hot glue gun to twine I got at Hobby Lobby (40% off of $3.99, what could be better?), and viola! Custom garland and it makes me smile every time I look at it.
The drawing below is of my cat, Toby. It is on brown craft paper and was wrapped around a gift one year. I loved it so much I kept it and framed it. Toby is rather fond of his portrait, too.
