TRADITIONAL CONTEMPORARY LIVING ROOM RUGS

Hello friends!

It’s the final stretch of my living room makeover.  The walls are painted.  Carpet is installed.  Furniture is purchased.  Art is going up.  I’m frantically trying to find accessories, while doing a mini makeover on my window.  More on the window this weekend.

I am the first to admit that I’ve never given area rugs the credit they deserve until recently.  Probably because I couldn’t make up my mind about flooring in my house.  Or possibly because my two fur children prefer to throw up on carpet/rugs?

So for my living room, I decided I wanted a pretty area rug.  I know rugs can pull together a space like nothing else.  They ground a furniture layout, define walk ways, add texture, and make a space more cozy.

Am I the only one who feels like retail shops are stepping up their rug game?  It makes it hard not to want one.   So I thought I would share some of my favorites that I spotted while I was looking for one for my living room.

Can you guess which one I bought?  Hint: take another look at the top photo 😉

I’m always asked about my pineapple Vans.  I love them!  They don’t make them in the States anymore, but they make this awesome edgy version now; and, these Hawaiian dancer Vans are adorable!
