Blogger Fall Tour Week 4: Outdoor Decor

Hi Everyone,

This week is the last week of our Fall Series which means one thing… Sigh.  I do love fall and hope it sticks around, don’t you?

The bigger pumpkins are the craft pumpkins from Michael’s.  They’ve been on sale (40 or 50%) every time I’ve gone in there.  Two coats of acrylic paint is all it took.

I get asked a lot of questions about the vines across my garage.  I planted them years ago and it maybe took 2 years for it be be full grown and bushy.  I took a piece of vine from my parents house and planted it in the retaining wall garden in front of my front door.  I used cheap twine and cheap hooks that I screwed into the underside of the overhang.  There are probably 3 hooks at each end and in the middle and I just ran the twine back and forth a bunch of times.  The vine needs the twine to grow on.  So all in all, the project cost me no more than 10 dollars!

Thank you for stopping by!  I do hope you join Lisa from Concord Cottage tomorrow to check out her outdoor fall decor.  In fact, I hope you’ve been following all of these talented ladies as they dress up their beautiful homes for autumn.

I love the different colored metallic pumpkins on your porch! They really make a statement against the red door. This has been such a great series. I am really going to miss it too!

Thanks Nancy 🙂 If there is a Michaels craft store near you, go check them out. Every time I’m there, they are 30-50% off!
