Hello friends!
I’ll be the first to admit my patio is not ready for summer. Mother Nature is PMS’ing here and we’ve been bouncing around between 100 degree days and 50 degree days. I was wearing my North Face fleece last night when I went out with a friend. Gotta love the midwest.
My patio is neat in the fact that is it more or less surrounded by a weed tree. My landscape designer was amused (perhaps horrified) that I had a “something something tree” around my deck. I can’t remember the exact name he said… I’m just keeping it classy here at The Striped House 😉
Dad and I are building a privacy fence between me and my nosey neighbor, so I’m thinking of what I can do to make my deck more functional in terms of entertaining since I’ll be able to do so without being under surveilance. But in typical Jen fashion, I don’t want to spend a ton of money since Nebraska summers can be so extreme. So, after finding furniture for outdoor patio spaces, I’ve rounded up a bunch of cheap patio furniture sets to share with you all since I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to splurge on an outdoor space when you live in a four seasons climate!

I’m seriously considering some of these options. If I can only figure out how to keep outdoor cushions from getting so darned waterlogged when it rains! Is there such a thing as water-resistant outdoor furniture cushions and pillows? 😉
