Without realizing it, my dining room has been getting most of the attention in my house lately, and honestly – it’s the room I use the least. How did that happen? In the case of the flooring, it happened out of panic. Panic that the store had possibly discontinued the floor Señor Dad and I put down in my kitchen years ago. I guess I work best under pressure?
My friend was telling me about they saved a bit of money on their energy bills through doing some price comparisons online. It really helped them fund their redesign of their kitchen they recently had done because they could save up the money they needed quicker. If you’re interested in saving a bit of money yourself, switch energy here.
So here are the BEFORE pictures… pretty gnarly, eh?
The line of demarkation was pretty bold between the kitchen wood floor and the dining room carpet. The opening between the rooms is WIDE. Heck, it might well be one big room.
I will say the first thing we noticed after finishing the floor was how much bigger each room looked now that it was one cohesive flooring going through both rooms. There was a definite WOW factor! I was so glad we did it 🙂
So here is my “action shot”…

I hope you enjoyed my little makeover. The only problem with doing something you love to your house is that now I want to do it throughout my whole house! If I had a million dollars…
