Happy Holidays! Are you done decorating for Christmas, or still have some things left to do? I am mostly done, but I feel like I still have a few DIY projects I might want to get done before Santa comes!
Carrie from Lovely Etc has graciously invited and coordinated thirty bloggers to all show our homes off for Christmas. Everyone has their own style and take on holiday decor. I always get so much inspiration from seeing how everyone “decks their halls” for Christmas.
AND… since this is the season of giving, we wanted to give a little something to one lucky reader. Read down to the bottom to enter your name to win $300 in PayPal cash!!!
So without further ado, come on in to my home…
My Christmas is the same as last year, but I moved it into my office this year. With my new living room furniture, there was no way to fit it in. I thought about putting it in my dining room, but I’m glad I put it in my office where I can see it from my living room sofa.
Oh and that’s Toby snoozing under the tree. I tried to keep him and Bridget from photobombing. But in typical cat fashion, they did what they wanted 😉
I found these cardboard stars at Lowe’s last year on clearance for 88 cents each. I bought 10!
Every year, my Christmas decor gets a little more traditional. I used to be more sparkly and modern. But I’m leaning more classic these days. Red and white feel most like Christmas to me.
This is my living room. More stars, some Christmas pillows, my faux red amaryllis wreath and some faux evergreens on the table tops.
I usually clear out all of the blue accents in my kitchen and replace them with red and green. Candy canes are a super cheap way to decorate!
The pet food bowls get a little decked out. The squirrel canvas was a gift from my Mom. And of course Linus’ Christmas Tree. I would wrap a blue blanket around the bottom, but I know the cats would drown in in their water bowl!
That’s Bridget looking out the patio doors, waiting for squirrels to come onto the deck. The paper chain is hard to see, but it’s cute and old school. My collection goes on my kitchen table for now. I had them on my dining table, but it was too much.
Notice anything different about my built-ins? The back walls are RED, and they’re removable! I’ll show you how I did it next week.
I changed out what I had on my shelves. My bar table on the other side of the room was getting too full. So I moved everything over to my bookcase. It’s higher, and there’s more room. Not to mention, my glasses aren’t crammed into a cabinet anymore.
Every day this week, more bloggers will link up their Christmas Home Tour. Be sure to check them out for ideas and inspiration 😉
Happy Holiday Decorating!
