Hello friends! It’s finally fall weather here in the midwest, yay! I’ve partnered with JOANN to decorate my bedroom for fall. I’ve decorated my bedroom for Christmas before, but never fall – so I was pretty excited to shop for new items! Truth be told, I am in JOANN often getting supplies for all of my DIY’s and decorating. Their coupons and sales are out of this world!
Grab yourself an apple and a Smore and come check out my fall harvest bedroom…

Yes, my bedroom is black, but that may be changing soon. What’s cool about black is that it’s pretty much a neutral and is the one room where I can start splashing traditional fall colors around.
Aren’t these two little guys (or gals???) cute?! I am still trying to think of names for them. You can write suggestions in the comments! 🙂
I really like this wreath. It’s very fall-ish, but can look contemporary-ish when paired with more trendy items and colors. I love how it fits perfectly on my mirror! I used a suction cup hook to hold the mirror in place.
Here is a list of the items I found at JOANN:
- pinecone garland
- cotton garland
- wood beads
- fall leaf fabric
- dark brown ribbon
- orange & white leaf pillow
- gray “HOME” pillow
- orange lumbar pillow
- sisal chipmunk – similar, squirrel
- sisal hedgehog
- wheat stack
- wreath on mirror
- navy pumpkin
- gray pumpkin
- rattan pumpkin
- oatmeal colored pumpkin
I created a fall themed garland for my bed using two different types of garland and some wood beads. It’s a lot of texture and layers, but I wanted something to feel warm and cozy. Want to see how I put my garland together? Download the JOANN app in the app store on your phone. Along with having access to their insanely awesome coupons, you can find hundreds of DIY tutorials to make your home beautiful for any season. Once you’re in the app, search for Fall Harvest Garland . Or you can click here. Feel free to share it with your friends!
The perk of having a four poster bed is that I can do all sorts of fun decorating with it! I accidentally turned my white panels gray. Don’t ask 😉 So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something seasonal and go fall-themed. It’s literally 7 yards of fabric cut in half, flipped inside out and stitched at the bottom and sides, turned inside out, and then hemmed it for the top. I used spray adhesive to hold the dark brown ribbon to the panels.
