SPRING HOME TOUR

Happy Almost Spring!  Here in the midwest, we were rocking the 60 degree days on Friday, but it was grey and cold here today.   The sweet cashier at Home Goods said it best: “Go make your own sunshine, because it looks pretty grey outside today.”  Solid advice, I think.  I’m joining up with some other bloggers today for a three-day long colorful spring home tour.  You can view everyone’s homes on the links at the bottom of the post.  Over the next two days, more bloggers will be linking up, so be sure to check back to check out their homes.  Thanks to Carrie from Lovely Etc for organizing us all 🙂

I admit, I’m not typically one for decorating for holidays or seasons.  But I may be changing my mind after today.  I think putting away some winter heavy things and swapping them out for lighter and brighter things, in conjunction with some serious cleaning, is good for the soul.

I went to Trader Joe’s, and bought a bunch of inexpensive bouquets of flowers.  You can’t beat $6 for tulips!  I got the cool (plastic) yellow and white stripe plantar from HomeGoods (only $14), and some yellow dish towels.  And then moseyed on over to Target where I found the placemats for a couple bucks.  Apparently yellow is my jam this spring.

I went rummaging through my “prop closet” aka, my basement, and found faux yellow flowers – yippee!  I found my faux fruit to put in my glass hurricane jars in my kitchen.

Loved the picture of Roger Moore (007) included in your gallery wall. Not only is it a great looking photo, but it adds some levity to the room. We sometimes take ourselves waaaay to seriously. I’m new to your blog, but love what I’ve seen so far.
